The MultiMemoHome project has started, and will run for
3.5 years. This project is a direct development from work on MATCH. It

Summer School on Home Care Systems
|
The MATCH project, with support from SICSA (Scottish Informatics and Computer Science
Alliance) ran a successful summer school. 26 students attended, with
good international participation. Formal lectures were given by MATCH
staff and a range of invited international speakers.

New MultiMemoHome Project
|
Steve Brewster and Steve Renals (with other partners) have been awarded
£785k from EPSRC for the new MultiMemoHome project on multimodal reminders within
the home. This will continue and extend the foundational work on
multimodal interfaces for MATCH.

theme was how to develop software systems for the increasingly pervasive
applications of computing.

through a poster that gives a high-level overview of MATCH: view

Hexawrite System Demonstrated at CeBIT
|
The work of project members was recently exhibited at CeBIT, a leading
trade show in Germany. A demonstration was also given on Channel 5's
Gadget Show. The Hexawrite prototype was developed in a collaboration
between the Fraunhofer FIRST Research institute and MATCH members at the
University of Glasgow (John Williamson and Roderick Murray-Smith) in a
project funded by the PASCAL European research network.
